Queen Cage with Stopper

This queen cage is made from reed commonly found along most waters in S Africa, but which seldom becomes as thick as the specimen. This cage was used by an Afrikaans (Boer) beekeeper with Langstroth hives. It was used to hold queens & to introduce them.
