Date Fronds Used to Hold Apis florea Comb

Two 'Zoora' from Oman. Sections of date-palm frond midrib, split down the middle to hold the single comb of Apis florea (little bee). There is a notch in the end for a 'tie' to hold the two pieces of split palm together.Dr. Whitcombe, Zoology Dept. Durham.
