Notes
-
Two recesses located within outshuts, abutting the south face of Kirkham House, a Grade II* Listed building, NHLE 1207782. The outshuts are later features and the wall, of red breccia sandstone, was originally external and faced towards extensive orchards. The niches are wide and relatively shallow but it is considered possible that they housed skeps for bees, particulary if they have faced repair and rebuilding over the centuries.
