  • original manor (1300s) was modified in 1800s; curved wall with 2 rows of staggered bee boles (4+5) was part of walled garden, but other walls have gone; backs of boles have been strengthened by modern stonework, and top of wall lowered because wall was bowing; bases project approx. I in.; a shallow recess in S-facing wall of house was probably not for bees (N1575b)
