Recorded in article for the Halifax Antiquarian Socity, 1983, by J A Heginbottom, after a visit in May of that year by the Vernacular Architecture Study Group. The bee boles were located in a retaining wall below the garden. Both recesses showed evidence of having been whitewashed.
When visited in 2018 the owner recalled the 1983 visit. He was sorry to report the bee boles had been necessarily removed some years previosly.
