World Bee Day Celebration and Website Launch Countdown!

World Bee Day Celebration and Website Launch Countdown!

As we honour World Bee Day, we're thrilled to announce that we're gearing up for the launch of our brand-new website. This dynamic platform promises improved accessibility and searchability, serving as a showcase for the Trust's assets while offering a wealth of information. One of our key enhancements includes streamlining the grant application process, with a personalised log-in area for all applicants. Project leaders can now navigate each stage of the process with greater clarity and stay well-informed about deadlines.

Our revamped website features distinct portals, including two new ones dedicated to beekeeping history.

Bee Boles Register: Discover the rich heritage of bee shelters, alcoves, and more as we integrate the bee boles register into our site. Explore these vital structures, view images, and delve into their significance. We're also seeking assistance in updating images, so please reach out if you can contribute!

Historical Collection: Dr. Crane's collection of beekeeping and bee-related artifacts, initiated in the 1950s, stands as a testament to beekeeping history. Our goal is to make these items more accessible than ever on our digital platform. While this undertaking is monumental, we're immensely grateful to our Vice Chairman, Prof. Dr. Dirk de Graaf, for spearheading this endeavour. Though still a work in progress, the result will undoubtedly be worth the anticipation!

Additionally, we've enhanced the searchability of the Apicultural Abstracts and introduced a new portal dedicated to our esteemed founder, Dr. Crane. Here, we have retained her captivating gallery of bee-related travels worldwide, along with her collection of diverse documents ranging from speeches to journal articles.

Stay tuned for the unveiling of our new website, where the past, present, and future of beekeeping converge in a digital landscape designed to educate and inspire. Together, let's continue to buzz with excitement for the remarkable world of bees!
